Chapter 150: Wanting to go Home

The sun shined brightly through the tree tops as the wind blew. Charades sat on the wall watching the forest. The soldiers were all quiet. They too, were enjoying the quiet day.
"Charades," Banner called as he approached him.
Charades looked up at him, "What is it?"
"Some of the soldiers are wondering what's wrong with Lunarstar?"
"What do you mean?" Charades asked, not sure why Banner would ask him that question.
Banner pointed past him to the far side of the wall, "She's been laying on that block for an hour or so. I thought you knew she was there."
"No I didn't know and I don't know what's wrong with her but I can find out." Charades left him and walked over to Lunarstar.

Lunarstar laid on the wall between the stone blocks. She stared at the forest hoping to catch a glimpse of the gate. It has been so long since she'd last seen her parents. She knew they were worried about her. Her friends probably wondered where she had gone to. Did her parents tell them what happened? Did Buster and Charades tell her parents what happened. Lunarstar tried to picture her parents and what they looked like. She remembered the stories her mother told her friends. She remembered playing with her friends and going to school with them. Lunarstar felt a single tear fall as she thought about the life she had in the other world.
"Lunarstar?" Charades called to her.
Lunarstar's thought were interrupted. She turned her head and tried to smiled, "Hi Charades."
"Is there anything wrong?" Charades asked.
"No," Lunarstar turned and continued to watch the forest, "I'm just enjoying the view."
"You don't look like your enjoying anything. Lunarstar please, I know something is bothering you. You can tell me," Charades replied.
Lunarstar took a deep breath and sat up, "I miss my parents."
Charades sighed, he knew this would happen sooner or later.
"I want to go home." Lunarstar turned and looked at Charades, "I want to see Mom and Dad." A few tears began to fall down her cheeks.
Charades sighed sadly, "I'm sorry Lunarstar, but you heard the King."
Lunarstar closed her eyes as a few more tears fell from her eyes, "I just want to see Mom and Dad." With her horn glowing she winked out, leaving in her place twinkling stars. Banner walked over to him after seeing Lunarstar looking so sad.
"What's wrong with her?" Banner asked.
"She wants to go home and see her parents."
"She can't."
"I know. I told her and she left...crying. Banner, I don't see why she can't. The black ponies are with us," Charades pointed out.
Banner stood and thought about what he said.

Lunarstar laid on her bed staring out her balcony as tears trickled down her cheeks. She had thought about her parents since this morning. She thought about all the things she and her parents used to do.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door.
"Lunarstar, are you there?" Starfire asked, "Can we come in?"
Lunarstar didn't want to talk to anyone or see anyone. She would be to embarrassed if someone saw her crying.

Stardust walked up to his brothers in the hall outside Lunarstar's door.
"What's the matter?" Stardust asked.
"Something is bothering Lunarstar," Skyview replied.
"She didn't want to play today or anything else," Starfire added, "The servants said she looked sad today."
"We knocked, but she's not in her room," Skyview added.
"She's in her room," Stardust said to them.
"How do you know?" Starfire asked.
"I just know. I always know where she's at," Stardust walked up to the door and knocked, "Lunarstar, I know your in there. Can we come in?"
"No, I...I just want to be alone for awhile," Lunarstar replied.
"What's wrong, Lunarstar?" Stardust asked.
"Nothing's wrong," Lunarstar lied, "I just want to spend the day by myself."
"Ok, I'll see you later then," Stardust and his brothers turned and left.
"Now what?" Starfire asked.
"I'm going to ask King Sea Mist if he knows what's wrong with her," Stardust replied, "I want you two to come with me."
They walked downstairs, meeting up with Banner and Charades at the bottom.
"Have you noticed Lunarstar acting...uh...a bit sad today?" Stardust asked them.
"You mean, wanting to be left along, crying and not wanting to talk?" Charades asked.
"Yes," Stardust replied.
"She misses her parents and wants to go home," Charades answered.
"The full moon is tonight," Banner pointed out.
Stardust sighed. He remembered that he had promised to take her home.
"Parents?" Starfire and Skyview asked. They had not heard that she had parents.
"She has adopted parents," Stardust replied.
"You knew?" Skyview asked.
"Yes. I know where she lives and what her parents looks like. I even know who her friends are," Stardust replied.
"You didn't tell us any of this!" Starfire exclaimed.
"How did you find out?" Skyview asked.
"I didn't sit around the park enjoying the view for nothing," Stardust exclaimed, "Now lets go talk to the King about Lunarstar's problem."
Stardust, his brothers, Banner and Charades walked to the throne room where they were stopped by two soldiers.
"We need to talk to King Sea Mist," Banner told them.
One of the soldiers left, walking into the throne room. A minute later he came back, "You may go in."
They walked in and stood before the King and Queen, knotting their heads.
"Your majesty, we are here about the Princess," Banner said to them.
"She's been sad all day and won't talk to us," Starfire added.
"It's because she wants to go home and see her parents," Charades replied.
"We've talked about this before. I can't allow her to go, it's not safe," King Sea Mist answered.
"Your majesty," Banner began to say. "The last time we didn't allow her to go was because of the black ponies, and now that they have joined us she should be allowed to at least visit her parents."
King Sea Mist pondered on what he said.
"King Sea Mist, my brothers and I will take her through the gate and back here before the gate closes. It's important that she sees her parents. I also need to talk to them, to let them know what's been going on," Stardust proposed.
"Alright she can visit her parents tonight but Stardust, do not leave her alone. She is still not safe outside these walls," King Sea Mist replied.
"I would like Buster and Charades to come with us," Stardust requested.
"Take who ever you like with you," King Sea Mist replied.
"Thank you," Stardust knotted his head and left with his brothers, Banner and Charades behind him.
Once they have left the throne room Stardust turned towards them, "Charades, get Buster and meet us at the castle gates just before sunset."
"Ok," Charades left Stardust and headed outside.
"Banner, I want you and a group of soldiers to wait at the gate once we go through it." Stardust turned towards his brothers, "Now, let's go tell Lunarstar the news."
