Chapter 103: Getting to know her

It has been three days since Skyview and Starfire went searching for Stardust. They walked through the forest after they had spent the morning flying. They hoped to find Stardust from the air but they didn't find him.
"We must be getting close to him," Skyview commented.
"That's what you said yesterday," Starfire pointed out.
"He had to have gone this way," Skyview replied.
They continued walking through the forest talking when suddenly Soldiers jumped out from behind bushes and tress pointing swords at them.
"Where is the Princess?" Banner asked standing between two soldiers.
Skyview and Starfire looked around and then at each other.
"They don't have her?" Starfire asked in a whispering voice.
"I don't thing Stardust went this way," Skyview whispered, "I should have known he would do something like that," Skyview's horn began to glow and then he turned into a cloud floating high to the sky. Starfire flapped his wings and followed Skyview leaving the soldiers staring at them from the ground.
"What are they talking about?" a soldier asked.
"If Stardust has the Princess and they're looking for Stardust then they must not have her," Banner guessed.
"So she never made it to Dream Castle?" another soldier asked.
"Apparently not, so we still have a chance to rescue her," Banner looked at the green Soldier next to him, "Go back to Moonlight castle and tell the King and Queen about what those two said, also tell them we'll be gone for quite a while. I don't plan on coming back till we have found the Princess."
The Soldier knotted his heads and then left running back to Moonlight Castle.
"Lets follow those two," Banner ordered.
Banner lead the Soldiers through the forest in the direction Skyview and Starfire went.

Stardust and Lunarstar had walked through the forest neither one said a word to each other since they left the lake a few days ago. Stardust had spent a lot of time thinking about Star Cluster and why he wanted Lunarstar. He didn't see anything special about her that Star Cluster could possibly want. He realized during the time he had spent with Lunarstar, he hadn't had any nightmares, only flashing images which seem to happen almost every day.
Stardust glanced back to see if Lunarstar was still following him. She had her head down, he hair dragged on the ground. Tears fell down her cheeks as she silently sobbed.
Just watching her cry made Stardust feel bad about what he did to her. He looked ahead thinking of what to say, he wasn't very good at getting a conversation started but he felt he had to comfort her.
She walked slowly trying to hide her crying face and ignoring the forest beauty and noises at the same time. She didn't want to be in this world or be with Stardust but she had no choice. She didn't know this world and could easily get lost.
"So, um...you miss the other world?" Stardust asked.
Stardust didn't get a response, he looked back, "Lunarstar?"
She knotted her head still crying.
Stardust slowed down to a stop, waiting for Lunarstar to catch up but she too stopped. She hadn't want to get near him since she first woke up.
He continued walking with Lunarstar trailing him.
"How many friends do you have?" Stardust asked.
Lunarstar was silent for a while, she didn't want to talk to him.
"8 best friends," Lunarstar muttered.
"Oh, they must be the ones I seen you play with in the park," Stardust replied.
"In the park?" Lunarstar asked surprisingly, "You seen me?" She was worried and surprised, did he know her secret? If so did his brothers know to and Star Cluster?
"Yes, I know you're the normal earth pony with purple hair."
"You...you do?" Lunarstar asked, She was so surprised she was no longer crying but her cheeks were still wet, "Does...um...your brothers know?"
"No one knows. There wasn't time to tell Skyview and Starfire."
"Don't tell anyone, please...it's my greatest secret. Only Charades and Buster knows...well my friends and Parents knows too."
Stardust slowed down waiting for Lunarstar to catch up, it annoyed him to talk to her from behind his back.
"I'm not going to tell anyone, if that's what you want," Stardust smiled hoping it'll make her feel better.
Lunarstar smiled slightly, "Thanks."
"So, you like to play ball?" Stardust asked once Lunarstar stood next to him.
"Yeah, me and my friends play ball all the time," Lunarstar answered still not looking at him.
"Your not very good at skating either," Stardust laughed.
Lunarstar couldn't help but smiled, "I'm sorry about that. My friends are teaching me, though."
"That's ok. I think you hit me twice. The second time, you threw me in the lake."
Lunarstar remembered and began to giggle, "I remember that. I still can't stop."
"Who's the yellow pony with rainbow hair?" Stardust asked.
"That was Prism. We were friends since I was very small," Lunarstar stared at the ground, "I scared her to death when we were playing one day. I hadn't seen her since then till The Games."
"I watched you in The Games," Stardust commented.
Lunarstar smiled looking up at him, "I remember that."
"You ran great, your pretty fast for your age," Stardust replied.
"I am?" Lunarstar asked, "I love to run."
Stardust smiled, "That makes two of use. So what are your friends like?"
"Patch love to play soccer and she's pretty good at it. Bon Bon cooks, she makes the best food...oh, that reminds me of the time Skyview was stealing her apple pies," Lunarstar began to laugh, "Bon Bon caught him with her pie in the apple orchards. I showed up just in time and made the apples on the tree fall on him. He was completely buried, when he surfaced I threw the pie in his face," Lunarstar continued to laugh.
Stardust laughed, "I can imagine how Skyview felt."
"Starlight and her mother runs the Ice Cream shop and the beauty polar next to it. Melody loves music, she even has her own band and makes her own music. I heard her play once at the concert, in fact Starfire was there but he didn't stay long, I don't think he liked the music."
Stardust laughed, "I don't think he does either."
"Sweetheart is really nice, her uncle is an archeologist, he found the Gate one night and was caught by Skyview."
"I remember that," Stardust exclaimed.
"Well, Banner wasn't happy that I followed him to battle."
"The Captain of Royal Heart's soldiers?" Stardust asked.
"Yeah, well I was told he was just worried about me," Lunarstar paused, "Well, then there's Clover, a very clumsy pony but very lucky too. Oh I almost forgot, Bright Eyes, she's smart loves to study school work. She had a cousin who's an author, Skyview kidnaped her but we were able to rescue her, because of my help she gave me her first published book."
They walked in the meadow as Stardust continued to listen.
"What about your Parents, what are they like?" Stardust asked.
"Well, mom likes to planet flowers, she hopes to turn the backyard into a garden some day. Dad works in the shed, he carves things out of wood and is very good at it. He made most of the tables in the house."
"What did Buster and Charades do?" Stardust asked.
"They helped Dad in the shed," Lunarstar looked at Stardust curiously, "What about you?"
"What about me?"
"What do you like to do? Do you have any friends?" Lunarstar asked.
"No, I have no friends. I like to spend most of the time to myself and travel to different places," Stardust answered.
His answers didn't help Lunarstar much, she still didn't know to much about him.
"I know your fast."
"Yes, fast and pretty strong."
"What's Star Cluster like? What does he look like?"
Stardust was surprised when she asked that question, "Well he's patient only to a point and is always mad. He's dark purple and has, blue, green, yellow and orange hair. Ponies calls him the prettiest pony in Ponyland...but don't tell anyone or say it out loud."
They walked into the forest as they continued to talk, "So tell me about the other world."
"What would you like to know?" Lunarstar asked.
"Anything, what ever comes to your mind," Stardust answered.
Lunarstar began to tell him about Ponyland and the places she grew up in. Stardust listened til the sun began to set.
"I thought Starfire was a chatterbox," Stardust thought to himself as he continued to listen to Lunarstar talk.
She looked happy and had forgotten about how sad she was which made Stardust happy even though he didn't know why.
