The sun was setting fast, only half was still showing between
the mountains.
Star Cluster, Amaryllis and Peaches were playing card games till
Peaches began yawning.
"Peaches, I think it's time for you to go to bed,"
Amaryllis said.
"Mommy, I want to play card game," Peaches complained.
"Lets hurry and finish this game then you should get to
bed," Amaryllis replied.
Star Cluster laid a card down, then Peaches and Amaryllis. Then
it was Star Cluster's turn, he laid his last card down, "I
won."
"Can we play again?" Peaches asked.
"No, Peaches you go to bed," Amaryllis replied.
"I'll see you in the morning, Peaches," Star Cluster
smiled at her.
"Night!" Peaches exclaimed and then hurried to her
room.
Amaryllis stood up from the couch, "I'll be back in a little
while. I got to read to her or she'll never get to sleep."
"Ok," Star Cluster replied.
While Amaryllis the living room Star Cluster stacked the cards
and stood up from the couch. He sat the cards on a small table
then he walked into the kitchen and looked out the window. He
stood watching the sun disappearing. His coat began to glow as
the full moon appeared and the sun left the sky. He saw the clouds
drifting by and the stars starting to shine. Star Cluster walked
to the door in the dinning room and left the house. He walked
a little far into the meadow and sat down. He looked up at the
sky and watched the stars twinkle. He stared at the moon and
began thinking about the white winged unicorn he had seen and
always wondered who she was. The sky was completely dark and
his coat was shining as bright as the moon. He sat for sometime
thinking till Amaryllis approached him, "There you are."
Star Cluster looked up at her and smiled. Amaryllis sat down
next to him and laid her head on his shoulder, "I'm getting
used to your glow. Now it takes me a few minutes to realize your
glowing."
"I've been here for about a year, so you would be used to
me glowing," Star Cluster replied.
"I don't want you to go," Amaryllis whispered to him.
Star Cluster looked at the moon blankly thinking about the white
winged unicorn.
"Isn't it pretty?" Amaryllis asked.
"Yes, it is," Star Cluster agreed.
Amaryllis closed her eyes resting her tired body next to Star
Cluster, feeling very happy to have Star Cluster. She opened
her eyes and looked at the moon again. Then she smiled, "Luna."
Star Cluster immediately knew he had heard that name before,
"Luna?"
"It means moon but I like Luna better, Moon is so...boring,"
Amaryllis replied.
Star Cluster looked up at the moon, "Luna." He began
to think about the white pony. Suddenly his memories of her began
flashing back to him. He remember being on the beach with her,
playing. He remember walking next to her, he even remembered
calling her Luna. He remembered her smile, her laughter, her
sadness and anger.
"She's Luna," Star Cluster muttered.
"What?" Amaryllis asked almost falling asleep, "Who?"
"That white winged unicorn I keep remembering. I remember
her name. It's Luna," Star Cluster answered, feeling relieved
that he finally remember a name.
"Someone probably named her after the moon since she's all
white," Amaryllis guessed.
Star Cluster smiled, he was so happy to remember her, the one
important pony he had always felt he had left behind. He sat
wondering where she was and what she was doing?
He looked down at Amaryllis who was half a sleep on his shoulder.
He didn't want to leave her behind and he knew he would someday
leave her. Could he take her with him? Would she be willing to
leave her home?
"Amaryllis," Star Cluster whispered to her.
"mmm?" Amaryllis mumbled.
"I want to ask you something," Star Cluster said.
"Go ahead and ask," Amaryllis replied with her eyes
still closed.
"Would you marry me?" Star Cluster asked.
Amaryllis opened her eyes and lifted her head in surprised, "What?"
"Would you marry me?"
"What if your married and you don't remember?" Amaryllis
asked.
"I'm not married. I've remembered a lot of ponies but not
of them were my wife or children. Amaryllis, if I was married
I'm sure I'd know. Amaryllis would you marry me?" Star Cluster
asked.
Amaryllis smiled greatly, "Yes." Then she wrapped her
front legs around him and hugged him, "Of course I will."
Star Cluster hugged her in return, "Come with me when I
search for my family."
"Leave this house?" Amaryllis asked.
Star Cluster let go and looked at her seriously, "You and
Peaches have been hiding in the forest for so long. Come with
me, no mater where my search my take me. I did promise you to
show you the Unicorns and Pegasus. Trust me."
Amaryllis looked at her house and then at Star Cluster, "I
have so many memories here."
"You can make new memories with me," Star Cluster told
her, then he leaned forward and kissed her on the lips for several
minutes.
Amaryllis smiled greatly then she hugged him and closed her eyes,
"Ok, Me and Peaches will go anywhere with you."
Star Cluster smiled and held her in his arms, closing his eyes. |
