The Gates are hard stone archways with pony carvings on them, built to last forever. They're made of Dragonite Stone, a very hard rock. The Gates are doorways to another world. There is unlimited things you can do with the gates, and they are a closely kept secret, very few ponies knows about them.
The Gates open on a full moon and anyone who goes through the gate will glow unless they're in their own world.

(Series 4)There are a total of three Gates. Each Gate has a Guardian or Gatekeeper. The Gates can be opened with a key and with a key you can go to any world. With three Keys you can got through time.
